Most connections fail silently. No message appears; data simply stops arriving where it should.
Three questions for every connection
- When did it last run successfully?
- How many items are waiting in the queue?
- Who receives the error reports?
Errors must be actionable
An "unknown error" message helps nobody. Every error report should say which record stopped, at which step, and why.
With these three questions, most problems are visible before they reach your users.
